Quentin Monge grew up on a beach in the south of France where he used to draw simple silhouettes in the sand. He now lives and works in Paris, where the summer vibes of his childhood by the sea keep inspiring his work. Quentin’s minimalist characters and beautifully composed patterns capture the fascinating world of sea life for the pleasure of our eyes.
The colourful palette of his illustrations has been featured in campaigns for Airbnb, Barclays, The New York Times, Glamour, and the platform Weapons of Reason.
“The Blue and Fuchsia Nereids design features a repeating pattern of algae and nereids, which are friendly female spirits of the sea waters that symbolise everything that is beautiful and kind about the sea. They are the perfect representation of the joy and optimism that Arrels Barcelona is known for.”
